LIDC Short Course- Evaluation for development programmes

The LIDC short course “Evaluation for Development Programmes” will be held from 12th to 16th November 2018.

The course is for postgraduates and professional staff. However we will consider applicants with a bachelor degree and extensive work experience.

The programme will include sessions on quantitative and qualitative research as well as methods and impact evaluations. The sessions will be led by selected tutors from our member colleges (including London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, SOAS University of London and University College London) and partnering projects (including The International Initiative for Impact Evaluation (3ie) and Centre of Excellence for Development Impact and Learning (CEDIL)). This year we will also have a session on "Impact Evaluations in the real world", led by Oxfam GB. A tutor will support students all week and assist them to enhance their knowledge in group work exercises.

The course will be held from 9am to 5pm each day at Birkbeck University in Bloomsbury. The first day will include a welcome dinner to connect with other international development academics and professionals.

Course Fee:
The course fee is £1,500 for payments made till 30th September 2018 (early bird fee).
