Ahead of the new academic year, we’re looking forward to meeting you at the Freshers’ Fairs across University of London institutions. As part of our mission to help our student members and researchers access the tools, resources and connections to make positive changes in the global development landscape, LIDC will be making stops at several of these fairs. Join us to learn more about the benefits of LIDC membership including internships and collaboration opportunities with researchers within your field and other interdisciplinary research.

Everyone – staff, students, alumnae –  in an LIDC member college is able to join LIDC free of charge.  Scroll to the bottom of the page here to find out if your college is a member of LIDC.  You can then beat the jump and sign up for your free membership here.

Here is when and where you can catch up with us: there no need to sign up – just come and meet us. We’ll be updating this list as more confirmations come in over the coming period.

September 21 and 22: QMUL

We will be at Queen Mary, University London at Mile End for both days of your Freshers’ Fair.

September 27 – 3 events: LSHTM, RVC, DPU -UCL,

Come and meet us in the North Courtyard at Keppel Street for the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine (LSHTM) Welcome Week student marketplace between 11 am and 3 pm.

Also on 27 September, we’ll meeting students at the Development Planning Unit, University College London.  Meet us in Room B01 at the Clore Management Centre, Torrington Square at 3.45p m.

Finally,  also on 27 September, LIDC colleagues will be at the Camden Campus to meet new  Royal Veterinary College (RVC) students from 11 am – 4 pm.

29 September

We’re beyond delighted to confirm that we will be with SOAS all day.

5 October 

We will be at the Institute of Education, UCL, in Bloomsbury.

12 October 

Are you enrolled on an LSHTM Distance Learning course? Please block off time to meet us online at 11.30am (for one hour) and again at 4pm (also for one hour.) You’ll be sent joining details by the organisers.

21 November 

We’ll be hosting students enrolled on this year’s joint Royal Veterinary College/ LSHTM One Health MSc. We look forward to meeting you at LIDC’s base in Bloomsbury Square.
