Covid-19 update from LIDC
Written by Professor Claire Heffernan, LIDC Director
March 17, 2020
LIDC is committed to ensuring the safety of our staff, members and visitors. The outbreak of Covid-19 is unprecedented and developing rapidly. Our response must also be rapid. To minimise the spread of Covid-19 and protect LIDC’s staff, members and visitors, the LIDC office in London is now closed. Staff will be working virtually and our events schedule will reflect this change. This means that events such as our Research Seminars will now take place on-line, allowing for wider participation. To find out how to attend LIDC’s events, and to find out what LIDC is doing, please connect with us via our social media platforms:
We would also like to thank the many LIDC members who are presently working on the Covid-19 pandemic. We feel confident that their research, along with global partners, will ultimately change the course of this pandemic. During this time period, however, the wider LIDC community will continue to meet our mandate: working with our members and partners in the UK and globally, on world-class research to develop, promote and support positive initiatives in global development.
