IIED Researcher Anna Walnycki to join the Panel for the LIDC & The Guardian Debate on Slums

On Tuesday 31st January 2017 the second debate of the LIDC & The Guardian upcoming Development Debate Series will take place discussing the theme of slums and asking ‘are slum free cities achievable?’
We would like to announce a change of panellist as Anna Walnycki, Researcher at the International Institute for Environment and Development (IIED) will now sit on the panel instead of a representative of Arup International Development.
Anna Walnycki is a researcher with expertise in urban poverty, water and sanitation, as well as ethnographic and participatory research. Her current work involves research on the role of partnerships in urban poverty reduction, particularly for the delivery of water and sanitation services.
She will join Professor Julio D Dávila, Amina Khan and Himanshu Parikh whose biographies can be found here.
Moderator
The debate will be moderated by Bibi van der Zee.
Bibi van der Zee is a writer and editor at the Guardian who specialises in global development and environmental issues. She edits the Guardian’s Global Development Professionals Network and is also author of The Protester’s Handbook.
